Who the intensive is for
This class suits self-directed traders, finance students and market professionals who can already identify trend, range, support and resistance. You may know RSI, MACD or volume bars but still find it difficult to decide which reading matters when signals disagree.
It is not a first encounter with charts. If candlesticks and swing structure are unfamiliar, begin with Chart Reading Foundations. The intensive does not provide entries, tips, account supervision or a promise of trading results.
What we examine
We begin with the auction behind each bar: how much price travelled, how much participation accompanied it, where the bar closed, and what happened next. From there, the group examines:
- volume expansion and contraction within an established structure;
- breakout participation, absorption and failed follow-through;
- momentum regimes rather than fixed overbought and oversold verdicts;
- regular and hidden divergence, including weak examples that should be ignored;
- climax, exhaustion and the difference between warning and confirmation;
- multi-timeframe conflicts and a written method for resolving them.
Exercises use historical Philippine and international market charts. Each chart is stripped of its later bars so observations cannot benefit from hindsight.
The six-hour class ledger
09:30 — Structure before indicators. Mark swings, ranges and decision points without oscillators.
10:30 — Participation. Compare spread, close location, relative turnover and follow-through.
12:00 — Lunch interval. Meals are not included; several options are available near Ortigas Avenue.
13:00 — Pace and momentum. Read RSI range behaviour, slope, rate of change and loss of thrust.
14:30 — Agreement and conflict. Work through breakouts, divergences and failed moves in small groups.
16:00 — Observation ledger. Complete a fresh chart independently, then discuss invalidation and uncertainty.
What is included
Your place includes instruction by lead educator Rafael Navarro, a printed 34-page observation ledger, annotated practice charts, pencils, a two-week follow-up exercise and written instructor comments on that exercise. Class size is capped at twelve so each participant can explain at least one reading aloud.
Market data subscriptions, trading software, meals and personal trade assessment are excluded. Examples are used solely to teach chart interpretation.
Preparation and practical details
Bring a laptop or tablet that can display your preferred charting service, plus three historical charts that confused you. Remove account numbers and order details. The class takes place at Level 9, 56 Ortigas Avenue, Pasig 1600. Step-free lift access is available; tell us about access needs when registering.
Places are confirmed after payment. See the refund and rescheduling terms before reserving. A minimum of five participants is required; if Sensor Fieldpoint postpones a class, you may move to another date or receive a full refund.
The next entry
Review the dates in the class ledger, then send a registration inquiry. We will ask briefly about your chart experience to make sure this is the right level.
